This morning Gordon Brown, Chris Eley, Les Todd, and I visited the south
end of the RR trestle at Falls Lake (Durham Co., NC). We found a few good
birds:
1 Least Sandpiper
22 Common Snipe
2 N. Pintail
1 Great Black-backed Gull (adult) - has never been seen on a Durham CBC.
2 Palm Warblers - 1 of the dull Western subspecies palmarum, 1 of the
yellow Eastern subspecies hypochrysea (which I don't think I've seen
around here in the winter before).
