carolina bird club trip to colorado



The Carolina Bird Club is sponsoring a trip to Colorado in April to visit
display leks of three grouse species and of Greater and Lesser Prairie
Chicken, and to look for Colorado specialities such as Ferruginous Hawk,
Chestnut-collared and McCown's Longspurs and Mountain Plover.  Dates are
April 17-22, cost is $400 for club members, $425 for non-members; fee
covers ground transportation and lodging.  Leader is Derb Carter, former
CBC board member and a leading N.C. birder.  Up to nine participants can be
accommodated.
