Hi Everyone,
During yesterday's wintery weather and precip. I stayed home waiting for
Chatham County schools to be dismissed early, though it never happened,
I saw my feeders become the busiest they've been in awhile:
Goldfinches numbered near 30.
Juncos @ 25
White-throated sparrows @ 12
all of the above were all pretty dramatic increases
Also had:
4-6 Fox Sparrows!- had only seen one previously and it had only showed up
in Feb.
4 Purple Finches
Song Sparrow- at least one
and all the regulars including a few Hermit Thrushes and many (25)
Mourning Doves.
and last but not least the Baltimore Oriole who seems to be more orange
in color now- very pretty
I'de love it if someone felt like photographing him before he leaves the
area.
He's pretty cooperative and not too nervous.
