This Week at Hilton Pond 02/22/01

HI . . .

Lichens are a fascinating part of Carolina nature, and to finish up
our survey of these important organisms, this week there's a
discussion of FOLIOSE lichens on the website for Hilton Pond Center
for Piedmont Natural History.

For some up-close photos, go to http://www.hiltonpond.org , and click
on "This Week at Hilton Pond" for the week of 22-28 February 2001.

Also included are the weekly bird banding totals and info about
recaptures of note--plus a photo of a female Northern Cardinal.
