Subject: SHRIMAN NARAYANA - THIRUNANGUR DIVYADESANGAL Where Krishna
planted Parijatham, the flower liked by Bhama!!!
SHRIMAN NARAYANAYA NAMAHA!!!
Krishna was
fond of Bhama. He wanted to live with Bhama in a place, where there will be
plenty of plants and creepers that would make Bhama happy. He wanted the place
to look like Dwaraka. And He selected one such place and planted Parijatham, the
flower Bhama liked most. Yes that is Thirukkavalambadi, the Divyadesam near
Thirunangur, situated about 7 Kilometers from Seerkazi in Nagapattinam District
of Tamilnadu. No wonder, Puranas describe Thirukkavalambadi as equal to Dwaraka.
On the day following Thai Amavasya, all the 11 Perumals around Thirunangur will
assemble in Manimadakkudam in Thirunangur. On that day when Thirumangai
Azvar is believed to sing Mangalasasanam, the crops in the paddy
fields of Thirukavalambadi will swing with musical sound and the residents
know that Thirumangai Azvar is present to sing Mangalasasanam and all of them
will be thrilled. It will be a rare sight, when on Thirumangai Azvar completing
Mangalasasanam of all Perumals, Manavalamamunigal sings Mangalasasanam on
Thirumangai Azvar.
Though this
Divyadesam is small, it is here where Sri Krishna gave darshan to Siva and
Viswaks Senar.
