Deep Water Algae

The deep-water algae have a greater absorption spectrum than shallow water algae.

The red algae have a much more colors to absorb than the other algae.  The red algae absorb every color except red.  It had a lot of accessory pigments called “Cyanoxanthins” as you can see from the absorption spectrum.

The green algae have just about the same absorption spectrum as chlorophyll.  It absorbs all of the reds, all the oranges, most of the yellows little to no green, some blues almost all indigo’s and violets.
