The Chess Assignment: These are outstanding examples of the Chess assignment. Notice how detailed the chess pieces are. Pay special attention to the use of shadow maps and ray tracing. These projects also show effective composition in the angle that the scene is rendered and the arrangement of the pieces on the board.

The Computer Assignment: These scenes make very effective use of Image maps. Compare the image map keyboard in Matt and Brad Computer Scenes with the keyboards by Jorden and Dan that were completely constructed out of primitives. Also pay special attention to the composition of Dan Geoffroy's scene. The unique angle from which he rendered the scene is very effective. The spilled coffee cup in Jorden's scene adds a sense of drama.
