Deadline Jan 4th. 

For this project students must create their own articulated figure. This figure must have multiple joints. Students should use some sort of model to create their figure. Students may make a robot a wooden toy an insect or some kind of vehicle. They then must glue their figure together in a hierarchy. They can do this by creating joints as in the Matt Stevenson tutorial or by moving axis as in the Antman tutorial. They should then create some sort of animation for their figure in which their figure moves in a convincing way. Finally they should render their animation to an AVI movie

Technical Specifications

The figure must be glued in a hierarchy
The parts of the figure be able to  move independently
It must be possible to isolate individual parts of the model in an orderly fashion by using the arrow keys.
The animation must be rendered to an AVI
Both the movie and the scene must be saved in the students done folder

Aesthetic Specifications

The movements in the movie should be natural appearing
The figure should have appropriate colors
Care and accuracy should be shown in the creation of the various body parts
The Boolean union tool should be used to simplify the object as much as possible
Backgrounds have been used to good effect
There is good use of lighting and textures
 

Advanced Specifications (Extra Credit)

 
The figure should move through some scene
Backgrounds have been used to good effect
There is good use of lighting and textures
The model has been converted to a Viewpoint object
