Creating jpg’s and avi’s from a trueSpace scene

Are you sick of only seeing your animations in wireframe mode, or only being able to view your pictures in the trueSpcae window? Well, worry no more, you will soon find out how to create full color animations that can be played back in Windows Media Player, or full color pictures to be viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Just follow the steps in this tutorial, and saving and rendering scenes will no longer be a problem of yours.

Start trueSpace by double-clicking the icon on the desktop:

(trueSpace will then open)

OR:

·        Click the Start button, on the bottom left of the screen

·        Hold the mouse over programs

·        Find Caligari trueSpace3, highlight it

·        Then click on trueSpace3

Open the scene you wish to make into an avi or jpeg by clicking “File” on the bottom left of the screen, go to “Scene,” and then click “load…”

Locate the file you wish to open, and click “OK.”

(The scene you selected will open)

Click “File,” then click “Render Scene to File.”

Under “File Name:” input the desired name of the avi or jpeg.

Click the “List Files of Type:” list arrow and select “AVI Files *.avi” for a movie, or “JPEG Files *.jpg” for a picture.

Under “Resolution,” select the desired resolution. The bigger the numbers, the larger (length and width) the picture or movie will be.

Click the “Render” button.

When the “JPEG Settings” or “AVI Compression” windows pop-up, just click “OK.”
