Re: Greek Writing Practice: Hold your nose and jump!
I have gotten some PM feedback for this.
Apologies for the spelling mistake in ἐνοεῖ. It shoud of course be ἐννοεῖ "it means" - I had written that from the sound, not thinking carefully enough abou the spelling. The meaning intended by the first first κίνησιν may have better been expressed by μετακίνησιν, but I think that κίνησιν could be retained in the second with the nuance of the first. τὴν ἀχαιότητα is wrongly spelt (τὴν ἀρχαιότητα - a mistake North Americans wouldn't make! Apologies again, I was composing without looking at the reference works) accusative for an extent of time, the meaning is the last one in LSJ for ἀρχαιότης. τὸ αὐτὸ is the same (verb), i.e. τὸ <<κολυμβᾶν>>. ἀνήνεγκατο is an third person singular aorist mediopassive from ἀναφέρειν εἰς (+acc.) "to refer to".
I hope that this apology will make it easier for people to make corrections to my composition.

ἐν ἀρχαιότητᾳ γλώσοῃ δυνάμεθα οὕτως γράφειν;

PS - I hadn't noticed the mistakes.
