As we speak and write in Greek?
I wrote, you wrote, he wrote, we wrote, they wrote.

Time passed. We were running.

Past time
"I wrote" etc. (Aorist)

NB. The verb form for he / she / it are all the same in Greek in the indicative mood.
"We were runnng" etc. (Imperfect)
