My name is David Wyman. I am a PhD student in NT at SBTS currently. I am especially interested in communicative approaches to acquiring and teaching Greek. After I completed my MA degrees in NT and biblical languages at Gordon-Conwell seminary I discovered communicative approaches to Greek acquisition (Buth, Rico, Nitz) and have found them incredibly helpful. Right now I am in the works starting a communicative Greek group at my school. Otherwise, I am interested in the NT in its Jewish and Greco-Roman contexts, papyrology, and epigraphy.

Welcome, David. I am new to this forum as well--at least, as a registered member. I think you will quickly find there are many who share your interest in communicative approaches to language acquisition. I have been quite surprised at the number of adherents to that methodology on this board.

Welcome David!
I have some contacts at or associated with SBTS and also have a good friend who may be coming soon to do a PhD (who does communicative Greek!).
I would be happy to help in any way that I can with the group you are starting!
