Actually, the information most likely came from the family itself - the funeral home would have
given a family member a questionnaire to fill out regarding the deceased's personal, professional,
and social life, and any personal recollections that the family would want published.  This would be
submitted to the paper, and a staffer would write up the verbiage.  Or, a family member could have
written it up and submitted it and have it published verbatim.  This is how it works in Alaska,
