Re: family information pages in bibles
I would suggest that she photocopy the family pages on acid-free paper and
then purchase a clamshell box from an archival supply house. Try a place
such as University Products that sells small quantities. If she is
determined to try for something better, refer her to a bookbinder that does
quality work. They will probably tell her the Bible is not worth rebinding
or making a book box. Storing it in its own box, even if not a perfect fit,
but out of the light, dust, etc., is a reasonable solution.
I know nothing about the microfilm project. She could, though, add her
information online to the Gedcom project. I have not personally done it, but
Rootsweb has all the information.
