Kate Bowers website (www.successmtgs.com) is quite interesting, but the fact
that the Adams Mark has announced that they have settled with DOJ doesn't
necessarily mean anything. Further down in that website is an unsubstantiated
report that a hotel chain may be suing an association for attrition.
See the following site concerning attrition clauses (about half-way down)

In today's litigious world many companies and individuals weigh the cost of
fighting a lawsuit. If it is cheaper to settle the suit and gain certain
language in the settlement to your favor then it is done.

Many years ago I asked my father (who is a surgeon) why he didn't fight
harder against some of the malpractice suits filed against him. As he told me
EVEN IF he could prove that he was right and not guilty of malpractice he
would still LOSE!. Why would he lose? Because he would still have to pay his
staff and yet he would have to sit court during the trial with no income
coming in. Most insurance carriers will sit down with the group they are
covering and show them the cost to fight and the cost to walk away.

Settling doesn't prove anything. Check the story of the lightbulb
manufacturer in Chicago who was sued by the federal government for his hiring
practices and ended up losing the business. People lost their jobs due to the
federal government's actions.

I agree with Bill Jackson's and Tom Berry's statements.
