Indexing

I have been using CINDEX since the late 80s and am very pleased with it in general. Although there are a few minor things I would change if I were in charge, it is very easy to use and there is always good technical backup if you get stuck or have a question. Your original investment isn't as cheap as some, but the updates are really inexpensive. Since it is made with the professional indexers' market in mind, it has all the features you need, and yet, unlike a lot of the software we have to use, it is not over-engineered with so many bells and whistles that it's frustrating to use. All in all, I like it very much. We index all of our governing board minutes and quite a few other things (publications, etc.) with it, and I used it to index a book we produced a couple years ago as well.
