Re: staples, paperclips and stamps
Clearly, I would not let the clerical staff remove paperclips etc. The
collector of the collection attached certain items to others for historical
reasons or as responses written to a letter incoming. If the clerical person
were to seperate the papers the origianl order moght be disturbed, causing
the processors much more time trying to put the pieces back together. Tell
the Director to stop penny pinching and do his job. Archivists will do
theirs..
