The New York City Municipal Reference and Research Center has a grant
funded position available for immediate placement.  We are the
depository for all official reports and studies of New York City
departments,
commissions and divisions.  Our primary clientele are government agencies
but
we are also open to the public.

INDEXER/CATALOGER LIBRARIAN [POSITION REOPENED]

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a temporary, grant-funded position.
Performs professional work in the Municipal Reference and Research Center.
The position requires the reorganization of a collection of Public Health
documents from the late 19th century to the 1980s.  There are three goals:
Organization of the collection into a coherent and usable sequence,
creation
of a catalog index to the collection consistent with that of other holdings
of the MRRC, and identification of items in need of repair or conservation
in
preparation for a future conservation project.  Salary:  $25.00/HR

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Degree in Library Science or Archives or
related
field, and some experience with similar projects.
