Upgrading your database software path question

Hi!
I'm currently using MS Access '97 for our audio/video/film/photo archives,
& need to upgrade to something more powerful. Our computer department
isn't familiar with anything else, so the burden falls back on me. I've
been researching SQL, Oracle, Sybase & DB2, but don't have any "real world"
situations to compare to. We're a major recording company, so there was no
concern over something like MARC, since everything I deal with is internal,
& comprises the materials used to make the product sold in stores. One
feature we are wanting is to be able to attach snippets of MP3's to each
song, on each project (literally over 50,000 songs, plus all of the
different versions of them). Obviously, since I'm the one responsible for
administering & programming the database, I'd love to go Oracle, but it
would be a major hard sell to the company. Anyone out there using the
others I mentioned, or something comparable?

Thanks,
Thomas Roderick
