Welllllll, because our legislators do not understand the ramifications of
such issues.
Also the failure of records and information management professionals to get
the word out to them that we are the experts when it comes to questions
concerning records. Please pass on to your friend in the court system the
article in my posting yesterday about the Social Security  Number as
published in the New Hampshire paper. Also forward it onto your state
legislator in a letter with your concerns.
Be aware of legislative issues during your state's legislative sessions.
Work with your legislators, cultivate them, nurture them.
