Re: Headings for Persons

According to LCRI Rule 22.15B1:

=================================================================
To achieve proper filing in the automated system, add the term of
address of a married woman after her husband's names. Effective
September 1, 1982, code these headings "AACR2." Previously, such
headings were coded "AACR2 compatible." Do not change the existing
coding (unless the name authority record needs to be revised for
another reason).

100 1# $a Ward, Humphrey, $c Mrs.
=================================================================

The above is what is used in the authorized form in NAF.

As for the suffix, Jr., for filing purposes:

100 1  Green, Joseph, $c Jr., $c Mrs.  (subfield $c is repeatable
according to OCLC bib formats)

"We've got to keep her little mind busy,"
MADONNA says, adding that she fully expects
her daughter, LOURDES, to follow in her contrary
footsteps and one day rebel against her.

"I'm looking forward to it," she laughs.
"You never know. She could become a librarian."
