would give consumers sweeping new powers to limit how corporations share
customer information and, in many instances, the right to ban such sharing
altogether, according to administration sources.
Consumer groups yesterday were quick to praise the proposal, which Clinton
will officially unveil in the college commencement address he is giving at
Eastern Michigan University.

KENT, Ohio - "I bet a lot of people have stories to tell," said Sandra
Halem.
Even after 30 years?
People often are more comfortable talking about tragedies at a distance, she
replied: "They've been in shock for years." As one of three women
coordinating the May 4, 1970, Oral History Project at Kent State University,
getting people to talk is what Halem does. And she hears many heartfelt and
harrowing stories of the day when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on
antiwar protesters, killing four and wounding nine.
