Re: Databases and EAD



For those interested in work being done with EAD on any number
of formats, I urge you to take a look at the EAD HELP PAGES:
http://jefferson.village.virginia.edu/ead/
a clearinghouse of information about implementing EAD.
Included is an annotated list of current implementors,
including several who work with database files.

From my own experience, I can say that it is relatively easy to
get a simple EAD output from most databases.
The key is to create an output form that contains prepended and appended
data - in the form of tags - and finish with a bit of manual editing.
