Archival Manager, Alan K. Simpson Institute for Western Politics and
Leadership
Faculty Position. The manager plans and implements all activities for the
Simpson Institute, supervises staff, students, and interns in the processing
of the Simpson Family Papers and other manuscript collections, presents and
publishes papers about Wyoming and Western political leaders, teaches
appropriate courses, works closely with the Simpson Institute Advisory
Committee, and manages AHC's arrangement and description area.
Qualifications: Master of Arts in History or Master of Library Science, or
an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a
minimum of five years professional experience as an archivist, curator, or
historian. Knowledge of Western and Wyoming history and must have published
articles in appropriate Western history journals. Five years of experience
in archival arrangement and description and reference. At least two years
supervisory experience.
Salary: $32,000-$36,000. Review of applications will begin June 1, 2000.
