Re: career for the curious?



To be honest, I see a lot of my work as creating aids to point
the user to information.   Sure there are subjects in the archives
and I've taken more than a casual interest in (and used a few
paid sabbaticals to research them).   I do learn lots about an
individual or organization in processing their records, but this
knowledge is used to write finding aids, collection descriptions,
and subject/name tracings -- to point others to this.  There's
simply too much to do otherwise.
