Records Analyst II, Utah State Archives, Salt Lake City, UT 

Description: Individual will provide records management assistance to state agencies.  Duties include developing records retention schedules; appraising records; conducting legal research regarding records management issues; serving as a liaison between state agencies and the State Archives; conducting training sessions regarding records management practices, files management, vital records protection and Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act; providing assistance regarding preservation of records; assistance with the storage of inactive records; assisting agencies with technology issues; and assisting in the creation and implementation of an electronic records program.

Requirements: Records management experience preferably in a governmental setting.  Experience applying modern archival and records management practices; developing records retention schedules; conducting records management training sessions; experience with providing access to records; experience in analyzing or appraising records and information systems to develop recordkeeping and/or records retention plans; developing or implementing guidelines, standards, policies and procedures concerning records management and/or archives administration; and evaluating available information technology to support recordkeeping needs and requirements.

Salary: Beginning salary 12.57 per hour, 26,145 annually.  The position will receive a 4% raise July 1, 2000.  In addition, the State of Utah offers an excellent benefit package.
