Strange employment benefits



I realize it's not Friday yet, but this thread about non-salary perqs got
me to thinking about some of the unusual benefits that have been offered as
part of compensation packages at jobs I've applied for.  Michigan Tech has
only recently begun to list its free parking in their benefits package -- I
know that it can be very pricey at many campuses, but I always find it
strange to see it listed.

My personal favorite, however, was the "reduced-cost beef" offered by an ag
school out west.  I seem to recall that you were able to go to in and
purchase a half a cow at bargain basement prices.   Of course one begins to
wonder if the school is currently funded for bovine hormone studies...
