Re: tuition discounts

Illinois State University allows staff (civil service & AP) to "waive" tuition AND fees for up to 7 credit hours a semester (4 during the summer term) - undergrad/grad/doctorate.  We do have to follow student procedures about being accepted into the department, maintaing our GPA and following the catalogue procedures like any other student; however there are some perks that we don't get (the library still considers us staff so the length of time for book check out is shorter) and we need supervisor permission if the class is during the work day, 8-4:30.

But - a master's degree for free; you can't beat that with a stick (although the clerical pay that I get barely pays for my undergrad student loan!).  It'll just take me longer than most to get it.
