Re: tuition discounts

The University of Hawaii offers full tuition discounts. In the past, it
was informal. Since some time in the 1970s, it became a contractual item
with the faculty union. There are restrictions, but it's generous, and
the library encourages us to take classes. The perk is available to
full-time faculty (librarians are faculty); the max is 6 credits per
semester; you have to wait until the first day of class to register (if
it's full, you could be denied enrollment, but that's rare).
