Re: Patriot pile on



I think I'll come out of my corner and actually respond. It was movies and books
such as the Patriot that got me interested in history and archiving in the first
place. If it wasn't for movies like this I would likely not have taken the time
to learn the truth, get a degree in history, a job as a manuscript specialist,
and go on for my masters. So, even though these movies nad such aare inaccurate,
they do influence some for hte good.

Sounds like this movie is another case of Hollywood turning the imperial-era
British military into a lot of nothing but cads, bounders and scoundrels.
