History of Cartography (int'l conf.)

19th International Conference on the History of Cartography
Madrid, July 1-6 2001

The conference will be held in the air-conditioned Conference Room of
the Biblioteca Nacional. The theme is 'The Cartography of Spain and
Iberoamerica' but abstracts [closing date *1 October 2000* ] may be
submitted on any aspect of the history of cartography. The conference
will be conducted in English, French and Spanish, with simultaneous
translation between Spanish and English.
The History of Cartography is thoroughly inter-disciplinary. Papers
are particularly invited from those who bring insights from other
fields.
