Re: In Search of the Humourous Archivist



The story below reminded me of something I saw on television a few years ago.
The Jay Leno show had a segment where audience members could ask Jay questions
and someone asked Jay what they did with the tapes of the show after the show
was finished.  So Jay showed this long sequence where an armored guard picked up
the tape, carefully delivered it to the storage area and handed it to the person
in charge there.  In fact, as I recall there were several places along the way
where someone had to sign for this precious video tape.  Anyway after the armed
guard brought it to it's final destination, the guy waited until the guard had
left, and he took it out back and tossed it into a huge dumpster.  I guess no
one ever asked for the videos back!
