Re: Longevity of Color Transparencies

The primary source for information on color photographs and transparencies,
their longevity, and maximal storage conditions is Henry Wilhelm with Carol
Brower's THE PERMANANCE AND CARE OF COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS: TRADITIONAL AND
DIGITAL COLOR PRINTS, COLOR NEGATIVES, SLIDES, AND MOTION PICTURES
(Grinnell. Iowa: Preservation Publishing Company, 1993, hardbound and
paperback editions). The publisher's telephone number is 515/236-5575.

Subject: Longevity of Color Transparencies

Hi All, Does anyone know about the life span of color transparencies? Are
the storage requirements for color transparencies the same as color
photographs? Are color transparencies as unstable as color photographs? Your
thoughts on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
