Sorry, no, but this seems like a good time to plug the forthcoming
book by Miles Harvey, _The Island Of Lost Maps_ (Random House).
It's a very readable account of the criminal career of Gilbert Bland,
who stole scores (if not hundreds) of maps from libraries and archives
around the country and in Canada.

The saddest part is that the FBI still has many maps that are unclaimed,
since the people and institutions victimized don't want to admit in public
that they were had . . .
