Live from Denver Part II
This is your on site reporter Steve. The reception at Denver Public was
a smash. The DPL staff did a great job, and the food was great.
The Listserv Bash drew about a dozen people ( some came and went so an
exact count is impossible ). I will not attempt to name who was there for
fear of leaving someone out. I told the group about the ongoing Left
Behind thread, as I was the only one there reading my e-mail.
I took a group to the Rockies game yesterday afternoon and all had a
great time. The Rox managed to blow the game as only they know how
( though I know some Cubs fan would disagree ).
Last night was the reception at the Colorado Historical Society. These
folks did a heroic job in hosting us during a construction project. If you
have ever done that you can appreciate the effort it took. We had a
wonderful time. Mr. Spindler of Arizona rocks! I confess that when I first
heard that this well known archivist and his band would be the
entertainment I thought it would be a pick up group, sort of a joke thing.
NO no no no no - these guys are serious bluesmen. They could find work in
Chicago tomorrow - no problem. You would have enjoyed watching a number of
well known archivists attempt to dance. Tom Hickerson - don't quit your
day job!
Today is clean up, pack up, and head off into the sunset day. I am just
glad Monday is a holiday ....
Steve
