Re: Institutional Records and Magazine articles



My rule-of-thumb is that if the periodical is expected to be
a normal constant availability from an area library (public,
college), then photocopies of the article are okay.   If,
however, the periodical is so "specific" then I retain the
issue with the collection.   I also retain the issue if there
are, say, color illustrations, or a color cover about the
exhibit or event.      For example, "Time" magazine would
be readily available locally here, but an issue of "Boston
City Magazine" would not (here locally in Florida).
