Re: College/University Archivists

The Florida Agricultural College (a precursor of the University of Florida)
produced a yearbook with pictures in 1901. The name of the yearbook was
"Pinakidia".
The University of Florida began in 1905 (although the founding date was
moved back to 1853) and their first yearbook (The Seminole) was produced
with pictures in 1910. The name of the yearbook was later changed to that
of the Tower.

Does anyone have a firm date on the beginning of yearbooks in US colleges
and universities? Or, please, to those archivists reading here at some
of the oldest institutions, what year did your yearbooks begin?

Does anyone know of the year such books first incorporated photos, first
actually had photos printed on the pages?

Thanks so much,
