College/University Archivists

Ohio State University was founded in 1870, with the first classes taught in 1873.  Our yearbook, the Makio, was printed in 1880 without photographs.  The first Makio with photos was in 1887.

Does anyone have a firm date on the beginning of yearbooks in US colleges
and universities?  Or, please, to those archivists reading here at  some
of the oldest institutions,  what year did your yearbooks begin?

Does anyone know of the year such books first incorporated photos, first
actually had photos printed on the pages?

Thanks so much,
