The University at Buffalo Archives together with the Buffalo & Erie County
Historical Society announces:
ENGINEERING THE ORGANIC :
THE PARTNERSHIP OF J.J. POLIVKA & FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT
September 30, 2000 - January 7, 2001
A special architectural exhibition -- combining archival materials and
interactive displays -- that tells the story of the collaboration between
structural engineer Jaroslav J. Polivka and architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Together they produced such spectacular designs as the Guggenheim Museum
and the San Francisco Butterfly Bridge.
This exhibition is presented by the University at Buffalo Archives, the
School of Architecture and Planning, Department of Media Study,
Architecture and Planning Library, Lockwood Memorial Library, and the
Research, Interpretation & Exhibit Design Department of the Buffalo & Erie
County Historical Society.
