Re: Panoramic photos



I think that you will find that panoramic photos were shot fairly
commonly from about 1915 through about 1930.

Sometimes people had a little fun with them.  Look closely at people on
the far right and the far left of the photos and you may well see the
same people twice.  Because of the way in which the photos were shot,
mischievous people had time to be captured in the image on one side of
the group, race around the back of the group, and be captured again on
the other side of the group.

Also, you will occasionally notice that the panoramic photo may produce
an image that is an impossible viewpoint for the human eye.
Essentially, you will seem to be able to look in two directions at once.
