Archivists job security assured

For some interesting ( not to say horrifying) statistics on the
annual world output of information, take a look at
http://www.sims.berkeley.edu/how-much-info/

According to this website, "the world's total yearly production of print,
film, optical, and magnetic content would require roughly 1.5 billion
gigabytes of storage" There are some interesting breakdowns by media and
record type.
