I have a book project tentatively titled "Pharmacy in the American Civil
War, 1861-1865: A History of Drug Provision and Therapeutics in the Union
and Confederate Armies." Currently supported by a Fischelis Grant from the
American Institute of the History of Pharmacy, I am actively seeking
repositories that might be worth including on my travel itinerary. Types of
materials would include any sources on, about, or by medical purveyors,
hospital stewards, and/or druggists between 1861-65. Also information on
the manufacture and distribution of medicines, Union and Confederate, would
be of interest. Any leads would be most appreciated. Many thanks. -- Mike
