Tea bags

Hi, everyone. We recently acquired records of a business that produced
non-woven papers such as the flow-through bags for tea. (I know, it sounds
like a boring collection. Actually, it's a pretty neat collection that
thoroughly documents the history of a company that was, up until its hostile
takeover two months ago, the oldest company in Connecticut). Among the
materials that were donated are tea bags with actual tea in them. These
were part of a display they kept in their corporate headquarters.

Can anyone recommend how to preserve the tea in the bags? Will the tea
leaves draw bugs? Some of this tea is pretty old -- the display showed how
the technology of non-woven fibers evolved and the tea is as old as the tea
bag. I was thinking of snipping the paper in a non-conspicuous place and
discarding the tea, but I would like to keep the tea if at all possible (the
tea bags will look good in exhibits I may do in the future).

Thanks for your comments.
