Woody Guthrie Archives - Part Time Position


The Woody Guthrie Archives, containing the largest collection of Woody
Guthrie materials in the world, is housed in New York City within the
offices of the Woody Guthrie Foundation, a non-profit arts organization
whose mission is to foster and preserve the legacy of Woody Guthrie. The
Archives contains both personal materials or objects created and collected
by Woody Guthrie and/or his family, and business documents and records
created during Woody Guthrie¹s ³professional² career. The Collection
contains materials in a wide variety of formats including manuscripts,
photographs, artworks, audio-recordings, film and video, personal papers and
diaries, awards, concert programs and posters, publications and periodicals,
memorabilia, and ephemera.

We are looking for a New York City-based website technician to assist us
with our website's maintenance and development (www.woodyguthrie.org).
Experience with web editing and design, HTML (Frontpage), as well as good
writing and communication skills are necessary. An interest in and knowledge
of Woody Guthrie's life and work is preferred. The website technician must
be able to work independently and with the Woody Guthrie Foundation and
Archives staff.

Salary commensurate with experience.
