What would be the cost and time (to complete the project) differences
between digitizing and microfilming?  Does the cost difference include cost
of periodic migration of the digital material?

The advantages you state regarding current technology with gold based CD's
are impressive; what of hardware becoming obsolete in [a few short] years to
come?
