Re: Collections of Football broadcasts

The Department of Special Collections and University Archives at Marquette
University (MU) maintains an extensive collection of 16mm films documenting
MU's football program.  The films span from the mid 1920s to 1960, when
Marquette discontinued its football program.  These are NOT broadcasts, but
silent training films.  Dubbed to video, the films are very popular among
former players and their families...especially as inexpensive Christmas
presents. Approximately 15% are color films.

Marquette's opponents on the gridiron included many Big 10 schools and
other Jesuit schools. (Unfortunately we do not have any footage of Vince
Lombardi playing for Fordham.)
