Hi, Irene-

You can freeze photos, but you have to first seal them in special pouches
such as those available from Conservation Resources or boxes available from
Metal Edge. Then you have to freeze, thaw, freeze and thaw again. However,
if you don't have a bunch of infested photos, I'd simply take them outside
and brush them off with a soft brush.
Have you considered anoxic treatment and there is very little risk to
either objects or people. Take a look at
