Manufacturing Company

We have been asked about a company that began as the SCHUETZ CHURCH
FURNITURE CO and changed its name to MANITOWOC (Wisconsin) MANUFACTURING
COMPANY in 1888. It was destroyed by fire in the 1890s, rebuilt in 1893
and became the MANTOWIC SEATING COMPANY. It was later know as the AMERICAN
SCHOOL FURNITURE MANUFACTURING CO. and produced church pews and school
desks. Later the company merged with a firm in Ohio--and here's where we
come in. The metal work on the desks has the word "Oxford" spelled out.

We cannot find any info on such a company in Oxford, Ohio. Can anyone
out there provide any help? The question came to us from Massachusetts
(where there is such a desk) and had already been through some Wisconsin
sources, which provided the above early history of the company.

Thanks for any help.
