WWII Company Display

Hi, Peter, and others?

As a volunteer of our local historical society, I've been charged with
providing them with a display of the local Nigg Engineering Company (Covina
CA). They've given me a whole lot of old pictures and some company
newsletters, but I'd like to see if I can find anything more about the
company. For one thing, no one can identify the photos any more. This
company began as a small one fabricating machinery for the citrus industry
here in town, in 1901, and went on to produce WWII stuff like Navy
amphibian tanks, sub assemblies for Liberty ships, and other parts for
Allied aircraft.

I noticed your listing of web sites for WWII aviation, and am wondering if
there is any repository you know about for industry to find out more about
this particular company. I have some articles from the local newspapers,
fortunately.

The company also made Service Stations, from the 1920's to WWII, in Calif.,
AZ, NV...it'd be nice to see if any of those were still around. Or indeed,
if any of the amphibious vehicles were around. I was fortunate to recently
view the exhibits at New Orleans' new DDay Museum.

I can identify some of the vehicles made by the company.
Thanks for any help
