Re: moldy & mildewy photo album

Well, would be nice, but our glass plate negs are flaking emulsion, heavily
mirrored at times, and some are experiencing such sulfer reaction that they
are entirely yellowed. Plus, without being able to correspond the old prints
to the glass negs., we are not sure if all the prints are represented by
glass negs. I just am looking to get the album clean enough for us to flip
through safely at this point to do this. Then I'll assess how much
preservation work needs to be done based on that info. :)

Hope that clears things up a bit. :)

Thanks to those who have replied. If anyone has any other advice, please
chime in!! :)

Can't you just make a new set of prints from the glass plates and chuck the
old album ??? Or am I being naive ?
